Last week the Member of Parliament for Bonnington North Constituency Honourable, Duma Boko paid a courtesy call on the Corporation where he brought a delegation from Century Construction Supply (CCS) from the United States of America. The purpose of the visit was to explore possible business collaboration and introduce the some of the products and services Century Construction Supply offers, which might interest the Corporation. 

The Chief Executive Officer of Botswana Housing Corporation, Mr Reginald Motswaiso took the opportunity to introduce the Corporation to the delegation highlighting the mandate as well as products and services offered. The Managing Director of Century Construction Supplies, Mr You also presented his company to the gathering and covered some of the products and services they offer. 

Century Construction Supply (CCS) is based in Kansas City Missouri and is one of the leaders in construction/building materials. Founded by the owners of Vorona Quartz, Innotech Decking & Siding, Sun Marble/Granite, and Century Home Living Cabinet, Sink & Faucet. The company also provides housing solutions in terms of pre-fabricated/ modular low cost housing.

The Corporation has in recent years explored various alternative methods of construction as a way to come up with housing products that would be affordable to the general populace, quick to deploy as well acceptable in the market. Some of the alternative methods explored in the past include sand back technology and Polisteel Walling System.

The gathering was attended by among others Senior Leadership Team members, officers from Hon. Duma Boko’s office and Century Construction Supply representatives.
