The Minister for Lands and Housing, Honourable Prince Maele yesterday addressed Maun residents regarding land issues. The Minister also urged them to observe development covenants to avoid repossessions and penalties. He further encouraged residents to take advantage of the Government housing initiatives particularly SHHA turnkey, which empowers Batswana with homeownership. Hon. Maele was later taken on an appreciation tour of the Biobox sewage facility used at the BHC housing development in Xhabara, Maun.

He advised BHC management to lobby the Northwest District Council to develop a sustainable sewage infrastructure, which would in the end benefit members the community as opposed to the current arrangement which serves only the BHC customers in Xhabara, Maun. The Minister was accompanied by among others, MPs for Maun East and West, Senior Government officials and the BHC Management.
