Botswana Housing Corporation this past weekend attended the annual Ghanzi Agricultural Show and the primary objective of the attendance was to educate Batswana about the mandate, services and products of BHC.  This year’s show was officially opened by the President of Namibia His Excellency Hage Geingob and also present was the President of Botswana His Excellency Dr Eric Mokgweetsi Masisi. 
Dr Geinob said that initially Ghanzi Show showcased agricultural activities, but now it encompasses various activities across the entire economic sector. As he welcomed Dr Geinob to the podium His Excellency the President of Botswana Dr Eric M. Masisi appreciated the good working relationship that prevails between Botswana and Namibia.
Ghanzi District Agriculture show has always attracted people from all corners of the country as well as neighbouring countries. The show attracts not only farmers but as well as agribusinesses, entrepreneurs, the socialites, government and government agencies and financial institutions to mention a few. The first show to be held was in 1974, during inception, the dominating aspect of the show was livestock exhibitions as it has already been mentioned. 
There has been a significant change over the years as more and more businesses, government and government agencies used it as an opportunity to market their products and services and. The main purpose of the show is to encourage Batswana to develop the country’s agricultural sector in order to diversify the economy.
