Corporate Structure
The BHC Board is made up of ten members appointed by the Minister for Lands and Housing to provide strategic direction for the Corporation. The Board meets quarterly to review the Corporation’s performance as well as to consider new management proposals. The board also uses these meetings to enquire on progress regarding the implementation of the corporate strategy. There are three committees within the board and these are; Finance and Audit, Human Resource and Tender Committees. The BHC organisational structure is made up of two divisions, the operations as well as the support services division. The two divisions are headed by two Deputy Chief Executive Officers reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, who in turn reports to the Board.
Under the Operations Division, we have six departments, which are:
- Property Development
- Property Management
- Property Sales
- Maintenance
- Northern Region, and
- Marketing and Research
and under the Support Services Division we have five Departments, which are:
- Finance
- Human Resource
- Information Technology, and
- Legal Services
In addition to the two deputies, there is also the Risk Manager, Public Corporate Affairs Manager as well as the Corporate Planning Manager Board Secretary reporting to the office of the Chief Executive Officer.
The Northern Regional Office is in charge of all our operations north of Dibete. This includes Francistown, Mahalapye, Palapye, Selibe Phikwe, Sowa Town, Maun and Kasane. We also have services in Lobatse and Jwaneng which are under the Property Management Department.
